"It is often said that our eyes are the windows to the soul. In our interactions with others, our eyes connect and we look for and transmit levels of sincerity, trust, acceptance and respect with personality and emotions. It is a universal language that we all can interpret.
On a personal level, introspection occurs when our eyes peer into our own eyes in the mirror."
An artistic interpretation of the work of Bahamian artist Lillian Blades by Atlanta Artist Carlton Mackey.
Blades commissioned Mackey for this artistic interpretation in 2009.
Her work has been commissioned for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
and The East Atlanta Library and is in the collection of the Birmingham
Museum of Art and the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas.
